AMA District II Fly-In
August 12-13, 2006
Comments Page

We would love to read your comments on the Fly-In. Click here.

From AMA District II Vice President Dave Mathewson

Hi Stan,

The first of the pictures on your website look good. The Fly In was a complete success all the way around. I can't think of one thing that could have gone better. You guys did an absolute first rate job organizing and running it. I took a look at the link you sent in your other email. That's a terrific piece of PR for the club, AMA, and model aviation. We need all of this that we can get. That lead-in picture with you and the little boy is a classic. Look forward to seeing more pictures and the video.

Dave

PS. I was so pleased with the way things turned out I forwarded the link to the newspaper article to some of the other AMA vice presidents for them to take a look at.

From JCSF Newsletter Editor Ed Runkel

Few members can appreciate all the work, the sweating of details with the Park, the AMA, publicity, etc., etc. that ate up so much of  Stan Berger’s time over the past few months to put this great event together.  From the bottom of my heart, I can only thank him over and over again, and think that you should too…….Ed

From Bob Green

The work and energy that you put into this club is astounding, I know I appreciate it, as do other club members.  It is efforts such as these, the preparation leading to the event, the event itself and the compilation of photo/video/multi-media presentations, that are put forth by you and the rest of The Jersey Coast Sport Fliers that make me full of pride to be associated with such a GREAT GROUP of PEOPLE. I salute you and the rest of the JCSF's for a job Very Well Done!!!          Bob

From Darryl Schlosser

We’re all proud of ya Stan, pinch them cheeks just to make sure And just to keep the euphoria alive WE think you did a great job too!

Hi Stan, Loved the video!!!  Keep 'em coming!       Sue

From former member Lou Iandoli's daughter Debbie

Hello,
My name is Debbie  and my father was a member of your club Lou Iandoli. He passed away last October. As a little girl, I used to go with my father to the model airplane field in Denver where we lived at the time. I have so many fond memories of him and his model airplanes. It was a hobby he was devoted to for over 40 years. The biggest part of his life revolved around airplanes; not just model airplanes, he was a commercial air line pilot for over 35 years. He loved planes and flying! I attended the show at Dorbrook Park yesterday (Aug 12) and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. It was somewhat sad to be there watching the very skilled flyers without my dad being a part of it. He certainly would've enjoyed yesterday's show -- especially the two young men who were so amazingly skilled at flying their very beautiful plane! I don't know how many years my father was a member of your club, but if you have any memories or photos that you'd be willing to share with me and our family, it would be most graciously appreciated! I understand that you took a photo of my brother and his family along with my mother at yesterday's event. I would truly love to have a copy of that photo (which I will share with my family). Thank you very much!

Sincerely, Debbie Iandoli

From Dan Senese

Stan,

Thanks again for leading this wonderful fly-in.  My family and I really enjoyed it.  I especially enjoyed seeing the photos and videos posted on the web-site. The photos and videos are great. Thanks for everything that you do.  It is appreciated. Thanks again to you and everyone that made this great event possible.

From Don Shugard

Stan, Great job on the event. It was by far the best weekend I have spent in 3 years. I just spent the morning reviewing the photos and videos. I'll forward the link to our club members to show them what they missed.      Don

From Chris Maier

Thats some great coverage Stan, good job!  You really put on a great show. Keep it up.      Chris

From Stu Katz

Very nice! I was truly impressed with the number of spectators that we had at the field.  At one point, based on registered pilots and cars in the parking lot, I think the spectators out numbered the pilots 2:1!  The only problem is, how are we going to top this event next year?  Not a terrible problem to have! Regarding the Multi-Media presentation, it came out great!  When are you giving up the hammer and doing this full time?

-Stu (Treasurer, JCSF)

From Jen Ort

OK. . . so I'm sitting here at work with tears in my eyes! Really, really well done Stan. Loved how you made this end. Anyway, everything about the weekend was so much fun. Thanks for everything!

From Rob Kallok
Stan & the rest of the JCSF,
Just got back from vacation early this morning and in the process of catching up with all the great news. Don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said. What a weekend though - can't imagine how it could have gone any better. Looks like another (big) notch in the JCSF's belt of accomplishments. What shall we do for an encore???    Rob
