Brass Monkey January 1st, 2009

For the first time in recent years the weather conditions actually felt like winter for our Brass Monkey event. But that didn't stop the handful of determined pilots who set out to fly on the first day of the year. The objective of this years contest was to rack up the most points possible during a ninety second flight. Points however were not earned by flying maneuvers but rather by completing any one of the many tasks put forth by CD Stan Berger. These included such things as changing your coat, sit-ups, push ups, dancing, etc. and all had to be completed during the flight.

Stan briefs the brave pilots

Frankie performs a cartwheel

The cold landscape

Phil digs in

Tom puts on hat worth 15 points

Tom puts on the glasses for 15 points

Perhaps a new fashion statement

Frankie begins his first round

How do I look?

Coffee the old fashioned way

Rob proves that he ate the cookie for 40 pts

Adam performs his sit-ups

Adam ate a cookie after his sit-ups

The iceman was in his element today

These don't block the sun at all!

Get that camera away from me!
